American Idol has reached in a new low! As RadarOnline.com has learned, the once-popular music show has now fallen to the bottom of the list in terms of TV ratings. This Sunday, they were even surpassed by CBS' Academy of Country Music Awards!

According to a report, the two-hour Idol show got 1.3 out of 5 ratings and an average of 6.3 million viewers.

Compared to its 3.0 rating in 2016 and to its TV hits during its FOX days, the new reboot is not looking good — even with its A-lister judges!

As AOL reported, America's Funniest Home Videos has gained more traction than ABC's Idol!

RadarOnline.com readers know, this season's judges include Katy Perry, Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan. Talented as they are, fans are reportedly not feeling the "I Kissed A Girl" singer's criticism — and neither are the show producers!

"Katy seems to have hurt ratings rather than help them," a show insider told RadarOnline.com. Plus, host Ryan Seacrest — who recently got accused of sexual misconduct by a former stylist — is making the show even more controversial! As readers know, no evidence has been found of Seacrest's wrongdoing, and the 43-year-old himself has called the allegations an extortion attempt.
