Judge Refuses To Leave Case After Bill Cosby’s Legal Team Accuses Him Of Bias
Judge Steven O’Neil is standing his ground against sleazy Bill Cosby!
As RadarOnline.com has learned, Cosby’s legal team tried to get the Judge to resign his post, as new evidence showed his wife was involved with an advocacy organization for sexual assault victims.
O’Neill considered taking himself off the case — which he’s chaired for 27 months now — when the comedian’s team accused him of bias. After 20 minutes of debating the matter this Thursday, however, O’Neill decided he would remain in his post.
“I am unaware of many of my spouse’s involvement in many causes,” the Judge said, according to Deadline. “She’s an independent woman and has a right to be involved in anything she believes in.”
Deborah O’Neill, is the director of the Sexual Trauma Treatment and Prevention Program at the University of Pennsylvania. Learning this, Cosby’s team accused the Judge’s wife of having donated to an organization affiliated with a protest against the actor. Judge O’Neill later clarified that this was not true, and the donation had been made by his wife’s employer.

“My spouse and I share the love of each other and our families, our children and our grandchildren. What we do not share are unified views of social, legal and political issues,” Steven O’Neill added, defending his wife.
The explosive courtroom feud came after RadarOnline.com exclusively reported Judge O’Neill had a blowout fight with a key witness in the case. Cosby’s rep confessed to RadarOnline.com that the comedian’s legal team was shaken by the “very disturbing” allegations on the matter and would need to do their own research on the Judge before moving forward with their case.
Bill Cosby is now awaiting retrial in his sexual harassment case. This April 2, Janice Dickinson and four other accusers will testify against the controversial comedian. While the 80-year-old previously denied claims that he raped Andrea Constand and Dickinson, 63, over 20 other women have now come forward to accuse him of sexual misconduct.
