Jill Duggar And Disgraced Husband Derick Dillard Attend Tim Tebow Event

Jill Duggar's husband Derick Dillard got fired from the family reality TV show Counting On after his intolerant transgender attacks on social media. But the two are still stepping out in their comfort zone, church! Jill posted on Instagram on Saturday morning, referring to Friday, Feb. 9, "Had a great time at the #nightoshine event tonight at church! We were in the red carpet/paparazzi team! So fun! @crosschurch."
The Duggar daughter, 26, didn't elaborate on what the "red carpet" team was, but the website for their Cross Church in Arkansas noted of the event, "This wonderful event to celebrate and love our neighbors with special needs." "Night to Shine" is run by Christian former football star Tim Tebow, and involved more than 540 churches from across the country throwing prom nights for people with special needs (such as Down's Syndrome) from ages 14 and over.
Apparently the Dillards brought their sons to their Arkansas church as one follower wrote to Jill, "I was right beside y’all last night. Seeing such happiness on all of our faces - what an joy to be a part of! I hope all the participants had a night to remember. Your babies were so sweet & well-behaved too."
But one hater responded to Jill's Instagram post, "It seems like your church has a lot of events that don't have anything to do with God @jillmdillard @derickdillard ...you guys have changed, and I wouldn't say for the better."
As RadarOnline.com reported, TLC, the network that made the Duggar family famous, cut its ties with Jill's controversial husband Dillard after his social media posts caused shock. Dillard, 28, had bashed one of the network's other stars, transgender girl Jazz Jennnings. He attacked Jennings, the 17-year-old star of I Am Jazz, tweeting, "I pity Jazz."
Jennings was diagnosed with gender identity disorder at 4 years old and transitioned from a male to a female.

Dillard previously wrote on his social media, misgendering her as male, "4 those who take advantage of him in order 2 promote their agenda, including the parents who allow these kinds of decision 2 be made by a child. It's sad that ppl would use a juvenile this way. Again, nothing against him, just unfortunate what's on TV these days." It's apparent from TLC's recent photos promoting the new season of Counting On that the show will now focus on Joy-Anna and Jinger Duggar and their spouses. Joe Duggar and his wife Kendra will also get the spotlight. All three couples are expecting babies, and despite Joy-Anna's shotgun wedding scandal, she will be featured. However, it's not known if Jill will make any Counting On appearances without her fired husband.
Dillard's wife Jill was once prominently featured in both 19 Kids and Counting, which was abruptly canceled by TLC after Duggar brother Josh's molestation scandal, and the spinoff, Counting On, which currently airs. Jill and Dillard's life as a married couple had been extensively explored on Counting On. They wed in 2014. But TLC had enough of Dillard's bizarre rants against his fellow TLC star Jennings -- and now he and wife Jill seem to be focusing on church activities after their TV exile.
