Michael Douglas Denies Sexual Misconduct Accusations: It's A 'Complete Lie!'

Michael Douglas denied all accusations of sexual misconduct made against him – even before the claims were published! As RadarOnline.com has learned, the actor spoke to Deadline to clear his name before Hollywood Reporter broke the story.

He told the publication that "he felt the need to get ahead of the cautionary tale," after a HR reporter reached out to him with the woman's claims.

Douglas, 73, said that his accuser was a female blogger who claimed he masturbated in front of her 32 years ago. The actor received the horrific news on the day his son Dylan was accepted to college, and immediately reached out to Deadline to tell his side of the story.

"It's extremely painful," he admitted.

"When we were all ecstatic... (then) I got a message from my attorney that The Hollywood Reporter wanted to do a story about an employee that worked for me approximately 32 years ago," Douglas said.

Speaking of the woman's accusations, Douglas said: "She claims that, one, I used colorful language in front of her, not at her, but that I used colorful language. Two, she claims that in conversations I had in front of her, on the phone, that I spoke raunchily, or dirtily with friends of mine, in private conversations."

Admitting that he did know the woman but never had a sexual encounter with her, the actor added: "I fired her eventually... for the work she was doing, (but) three, she claims that I blackballed her from the industry and stopped her form getting another job."

The Oscar-winner then assured fans that the allegations that he masturbated in front of her were a "complete lie, fabrication, no truth to it whatsoever."

Apart from defending his innocence, Douglas said that what was most important to him was clearing his family's conscience.

"The part that hurt the worst is having to share something like this to your wife and your children," added the actor. "My kids are really upset... have to go to school worrying this is going to be in some article about me, being a sexual harasser. They're scared and very uncomfortable."

Michael Douglas said that he has always prided himself on his pristine reputation in Hollywood, and that despite the shocking "disgruntled" woman's accusations, he has no "skeletons in his closet."
