'Grandma' The Clown Quits Circus Gig After Underage Sex Scandal

Big Apple Circus performer "Grandma the Clown" has quit his job after he was accused of sexual misconduct.

Barry Lubin resigned his position after a 16-year-old girl bashed him for allegedly pressuring her into posing for pornographic pictures, The New York Times reported.

The female victim, Zoey Dunne, told the publication that the incident occurred in 2004, when Lubin lured her into his trailer to conduct a photo session for his personal photography business. He said the client was a tattoo company, and she had to be nearly nude and aroused for the scandalous ad.

"I just felt really confused and lost and ashamed," she admitted, claiming that she had to go to therapy for years after the sick encounter.

Shockingly, after Dunne came forward with her claims, the 65-year-old circus performer admitted they were, in fact, true. In a statement released by his lawyer, the former performer apologized for his conduct, saying he takes full responsibility for his troubling actions.

RadarOnline.com has learned Dunne's father told The Times that he was absolutely shocked when his daughter told him of the abuse.

"I did not suspect Barry Lubin because he had the perfect cover," he said. "He's the friendly Grandma, how could he harm you? It's like Bill Cosby: He's not the character he plays."
