Lil Peep’s inner circle told Tucson, Ariz. police that he died from a Xanax overdose, RadarOnline.com can exclusively reveal.
“There was a 911 call placed just before 9 p.m. last night,” a Tucson public information officer confirmed to RadarOnline.com. “He was supposed to perform at a local bar called The Rock in town. He had his tour bus there. He was located in bus unresponsive.”
“The fire department worked on him for quite a while trying to revive him, but unfortunately they weren’t successful,” the officer continued.
“Officers from the aggravated assault unit responded to the scene to see if there was any foul play involved because a 21-year-old male was pronounced deceased,” the officer noted. “They noticed paraphernalia and what appeared to be drug activity on the bus.”
“The information from who he was with and evidence on the bus conclude that his death was an accidental overdose from Xanax,” the officer concluded, noting that the police “can’t confirm. That would be confirmed from the autopsy.”
RadarOnline.com exclusively reported that the Tucson, Ariz. coroner has Lil Peep’s body in their custody. It is unknown when the procedure will be performed, but the public information officer noted that the results could take anywhere from six to eight weeks to receive.
The late rapper, born Gustav Ahr, bragged about his drug use just hours before his death in shocking Instagram videos (one of which has since been deleted).
