‘He’s Going To Use!’ Maci Bookout Fears Pressure To Stay Clean Is ‘Too Much’ For Ryan

Maci Bookout is ready to give her baby daddy Ryan Edwards an ultimatum to help him get clean. On this week’s Teen Mom OG, Bookout plans to threaten to take custody from Edwards if he doesn’t enter rehab for his drug abuse issues.

On the episode, Bookout gets advice from a counselor on how to confront Edwards about his drug use.

“He is my oldest son’s father,” she told the counselor. “I’m not sure what he’s using. But sometimes he’ll fall asleep when you’re trying to have a conversation with him or is extremely wide-eyed. He doesn’t look right.”

The counselor then advised her to threaten to take custody of their son Bentley from him.

“Yeah, I’m hoping it doesn’t get to that point, but that would be the ultimatum,” she said. “The other aspect is if I’m limiting access to him, I’m also going to have to do that with his parents because they are the sole caregivers of his son when he’s with his dad.”

Her counselor explained how the process could be an “uphill battle,” as his family seems to be “enabling” his addiction.

But Bookout second-guesses using their son as an ultimatum, as she feared taking him from Edwards could force him to spiral further out of control.

“What happens in the time we talk and the time he goes to get help?” she asked her husband Taylor McKinney. “I feel like he’s going to use or do something in that time period. What if it’s too much? I’m scared, but I’m more scared of not doing it.”

As RadarOnline.com readers know, Edwards checked out of rehab and returned to social media this weekend.

He wasted no time slamming Bookout, as he posted a meme that read, “I have a dream that one day my psycho baby’s mama will shut the f**k up.”

Also on the episode, Amber Portwood learned that her bad boy fiancé Matt Baier is involved in yet another scandal.

“There’s fake f*****g text messages supposedly,” Portwood said of messages that emerged between Baier and another woman on social media. “Talking to someone else like a year and a half ago. I told him in the car we need a break. This is too much. It just keeps making me doubt everything. I need to figure out what’s going on with all this s**t.”

Portwood had doubts about her relationship with Baier throughout the season, as she felt she couldn’t trust him. On last week’s episode, she called off their wedding because he had given co-star Catelynn Lowell Xanax for her anxiety even though he’s supposed to be sober.

She ended the engagement again after Baier failed a lie detector test about the texts in May. Although they were “still living together” at the time, she revealed over Instagram live earlier this month that they are not together.

But the relationship issues didn’t end there, as Farrah Abraham struggled to bond with her future stepfather David. When her mother Debra asked her to be her maid of honor at her wedding, Abraham responded, “That’s a lot of responsibility.”

When David skipped out on family outings and ignored them to watch golf, Abraham called him a “creep” and said there is “no effort” on his end.

She then told her on-again, off-again boyfriend Simon Saran, “If you want to make me your enemy, which is what he does in his own head because he’s mentally ill, then I feel like saying, ‘f**k you b***h.'”

As for Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra, they considered relocating to Los Angeles because there are “more opportunities in the creative business.”

When they learned how expensive it is, they decided to remain in their hometown of Michigan.

Teen Mom OG airs Mondays at 9/8c on MTV.
