‘RHOC’ Star Josh Waring’s Shooting Spree Was ‘Chaos’

Witnesses testified against Josh Warning in an explosive hearing, claiming that the former Real Housewives of Orange County star shot at them multiple times during the incident described as “chaos.”
RHOC star Laurie Peterson’s son is charged with attempted murder after allegedly opening fire on two people in Costa Mesa and then leading cops on a wild car chase on June 20, 2016. Warning is acting as his own lawyer for the trial and directly questioned the witnesses. His mother was in court for the preliminary hearing, taking notes during the testimony.
A woman identified as Jennifer M. described when Warning allegedly shot Danny Lopez, telling the court the entire situation was frenetic and confusing. Lopez “was shot, but he wasn’t sure he was shot or not. It was chaos,” she said according to the Orange County register .
Jennifer testified that the barrage of gunfire was rapid, noting “I just knew it was a lot. At least eight. I saw every one of them -- the flashing.”
The night of the incident a friend of Jennifer’s told the police she was pregnant. She testified that a week after the shooting she had a miscarriage. Warning, acting as his own attorney, questioned her, asking if she had been drinking the night of the incident.
“No, I don't drink,” the newspaper reported she told him and he then asked if she was high that night. “I was pregnant. No drugs.”
Another victim, identified as Ronald D., told the court that when Warning stared firing his gun from a BMW on the street,“I turned and ran in the other direction toward the main house … That walkway was like a shooting gallery. It was horrible.”
He testified that he heard “Nine to 10 shots,” that night.
Senior Deputy District Attorney Aleta Bryant asked Ronald to describe how his feelings during the incident he said they were “disbelief, scared … It was all a blur.”
Ronald said Warning was not welcome at the house the night of the event because he had previously “waved a gun,” in front of a woman a few days prior.
“He was unsafe,” Ronald said on the stand.
After the shooting, Waring led police on a high-speed car chase but crashed the vehicle. He tried to run away but after a brief standoff with police he was taken into custody.
Waring has been charged with three counts of attempted murder with premeditation and deliberation and if he is found guilty he could face life in prison.
