An all-day police standoff at Chris Brown’s Tarzana, Calif., home concluded with an unhappy ending for the singer: He was arrested and charged with assault with a deadly weapon.
According to an eyewitness, police took Brown from the scene around 5:10 p.m., following an extensive search of his home.
They had arrived in the early hours of Tuesday morning, investigating claims from a former pageant queen named Baylee Curran, who called 911 alleging Brown pointed a gun at her during a party at the estate.

"We are currently conducting an investigation at the residence of Mr. Chris Brown,” LAPD spokesperson Chris Ramirez told RadarOnline.com hours before the arrest was made. "Detectives are currently serving the search warrant and trying to get the occupants and Mr. Chris Brown to cooperate with our investigation to find out if there’s any type of relation to what occurred this morning.”
NBC LA reported at 5 p.m. that police had brought charges.
Brown, 27, defended his innocence in a bizarre Instagram rant. "I ain't did s**t. I ain't going to do s**t. And it's always going to be be f**k the police black lives matter n***er," he said. "I don't care y'all going to stay playing with me like I'm the villain out here, like I'm going crazy. Brown has been accused of violent behavior toward women in the past. He infamously pleaded guilty to assaulting former girlfriend Rihanna in 2009, and just earlier this year, model Liziane Gutierrez claimed he punched her in the face at a Las Vegas party. (The father of one was never charged with a crime in the latter case.)
