The fierce dance floor competition on Season 22 of ABC's Dancing with the Stars has been nothing compared to the nasty behind-the-scenes battles!
As deaf frontrunner Nyle DiMarco faces elimination on tonight's live episode, RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned that 26-year-old ANTM winner is not going out without a fight!
"Nyle is absolutely drained emotionally, physically and mentally," a source close to DiMarco said, as his feud with the other cast members takes its toll.
The ongoing bad blood between DiMarco and the other dancers became public knowledge after DiMarco threw shade at veteran dance coach Val Chmerkovskiy, 30 – whose brother Maksim is engaged to DiMarco's dancing partner Peta Murgatroyd, 29.
"Peta has been working Nyle really hard this week and they are both ready for tonight," the source told Radar.
But, according to the insider, Murgatroyd instructed her partner NOT to interact with anyone except for her until after tonight's performance.
"All the drama this season really took a toll on Nyle. But instead of letting it destroy him, he is using the entire situation to push him harder than ever," the source claimed.
"He really feels that he was put on this show to win it and show the world that deaf people can accomplish the same amazing feats as non-handicapped people."
