Bill Cosby got a break today after his wife, Camille, received a stay of her deposition in his defamation lawsuit.

Camille, 71, was scheduled to be deposed on Wednesday, but attorneys filed legal documents seeking to delay the occurrence.

According to NBC News, the motion stated that "without a stay of her deposition, both Mrs. Cosby's privacy and freedom will be put at issue." That request for a stay was granted, until an appeal of the order to make her testify can be settled.

Seven women in the Springfield, Massachusetts, lawsuit claim Bill, 78, sexually assaulted them decades ago, and defamed them in the media. Bill has filed a defamation lawsuit against the women as well.

As RadarOnline.com reported, Bill is currently free on $1 million bail after he surrendered himself to Pennsylvania police Dec. 30 on sexual assault charges.

Montgomery County prosecutors announced their decision to criminally charge Cosby with aggravated indecent assault, after reopening an investigation of the comedian in an alleged sexual assault on a former Temple University employee, Andrea Constand, in 2004.

In 2005, Constand claimed that Cosby drugged and sexually attacked her while she worked as a manager for the women's basketball team at Temple University. At the time, police ultimately opted to drop the case due to "lack of evidence."

Cosby has denied all of the charges.
