A Secret Service officer was slated to appear before a Delaware court Friday after he was arrested in connection with sexting who he believed was an underage girl.
Lee Robert Moore, 37, is accused of soliciting and distributing obscene material to a minor in the state, and faces an additional federal charge for the latter offense, after he was arrested on Monday upon being nabbed in a Delaware State Police sting.

Moore, who worked at the White House, was engaged in chats with an undercover officer who he believed to be a 14-year-old girl, officials said. He carried out some of the chats, dating back to August, while working at the president's home, according to court docs.
At one point, Moore prodded the purported teen — who he communicated with on apps such as Meet24 and Kik — to send him an "exciting" picture. At one point, he sent a picture of his genitals, authorities said.
In an affidavit, Delaware Detective Kevin McKay said Moore "wanted to travel to Delaware and meet in person for sex," and had "made it clear that he knew I was a 14 yr old girl."
Homeland Security Investigations special agent Patrick McCall said that following his arrest, Moore confessed to sending the graphic photos, having a "sexual interest in 14 year-old females," and having "engaged such individuals in online chats about sexual matters."
The Secret Service said it takes the charges "extremely seriously," and suspended Moore's security clearances upon learning of the matter Nov. 6.
"All Secret Service issued equipment was retrieved and the employee's access to all Secret Service facilities was terminated," the organization said.
Moore faces up to 10 years in prison if convicted on the charges.
