Blake Shelton is opening up about his divorce from Miranda Lambert, from the short and sweet timeframe it took to complete, to the better terms the two are on today.
Speaking with The Bobby Bones Show Wednesday, The Voice judge insisted that the public was left in the dark about the country music breakup until it was already a done deal.

Shelton, 39, said that his “life is all over the papers” anyway, and that the buildup of reports claiming that the couple was headed toward splitsville was just “rumblings and rumors,” at best.
According to the "Lonely Tonight" singer, “By the time anybody knew anything” about their marital crisis, “it was over -- it was done."

Shelton said that the court practices in their Oklahoma home base, and the circumstances surrounding their split, made for as seamless and painless a divorce as possible when it comes to show business.
“It happens so fast: Like, Miranda and I didn't have any kids, and we had a prenuptial agreement, or whatever we had,” the "Sangria" singer explained. “So, it was like once we filed for divorce ... it was like a nine- or 10-day waiting period until it's over.”
Shelton said that he and Lambert had made good on their agreement to stay friendly through, and after, the breakup.
"We're buddies: Our whole thing was, we are going to be cool about this,” he said. “It is what it is.”
As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Lambert and Shelton announced “this is not the future we envisioned" in announcing their July split, just more than four years after their May 2011 wedding in Texas Hill Country.
