The teacher who made headlines when she got pregnant by a 12-year-old student -- who's now her husband -- will chat with Barbara Walters on the couple's 10th anniversary.

Mary Kay Letourneau Fualaau, 53, and husband Vili Fualaau, 30, will appear on Friday's 20/20 to chat about their long road from the sixth grade classroom in Seattle they met in, which led to her arrest and conviction in connection with child rape.

In the chat, Letourneau -- who was married with four kids at the time the scandal broke -- will speak about her desire to return to teaching and have her status as a registered sex offender revoked.

Fualaau will talk about issues he's dealt with, including alcoholism and depression, as well as the scars that remain from his experiences of youth.

The couple -- who tied the knot in 2005, following Letourneau's release from a seven-plus year prison stint the year before -- have two teen daughters named Audrey and Georgia. They will appear on the special, as well.

While a shocking story at the time, tales of teachers hooking up with underage students have become disturbingly commonplace some 18 years after Letourneau's crimes made national news.

The interview airs on ABC's 20/20 Friday at 10/9c.
