Real Housewives star and wife of LA Angels player Josh Hamilton confesses she was "blindsided" when he filed for divorce.
Katie Hamilton also assures fans that infidelity was never involved. The reality star shares that "nothing sparked" the divorce like cheating or a "big fight," though she was surprised when Josh initiated the split two months ago.
"I've always stood by him and I'll always stand by him," she told reporters. "I support and love him now and down the road."
The reason behind the divorce came clear when Josh admitted to a relapse with drugs and alcohol.
Earlier this year, the former Major League Baseball Most Valued Player, underwent shoulder surgery before spring training for the LA Angels. Soon after, the athlete came forward and admitted to using cocaine and alcohol.
But this isn't his first stint with substance abuse. Josh was also suspended for three seasons between 2003 and 2005, during which time he was ordered to undergo regular drug testing.

Though happily married for ten years (since 2004), Josh still had some interesting restrictions for his soon to be ex-wife.
According to the Dallas Morning News, the baseball player outlined a petition that Katie would have no access to his Maserati and 1972 Chevrolet Blazer.
After Katie denied the petition, the couple agreed not to communicate for the remainder of the divorce case.
For now, Josh can only visit his children under supervision and the couple's $16.5-million home in Newport Coast has gone up for sale.
Look out for Katie on the 10th season of The Real Housewives of Orange County, airing this summer.
