Bobbi Kristina Brown's Ex Boyfriend's Triple-Felony Arrest 'Completely Unrelated' To Finding Her In Bathtub, His Lawyer Insists
Feb. 4 2015, Updated 12:25 p.m. ET
Bobbi Kristina Brown's ex Max Lomas says his drug case is '"completely unrelated" to the incident in which he found Whitney Houston's daughter unconscious in a bathtub.
As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Lomas, 24, was taken into custody Jan. 14 after police in Roswell, Ga. discovered weapons, drugs, a digital scale and a large Ziploc bag supply while conducting a welfare check for his 18-year-old girlfriend Danyela Bradley at her family's request. (Lomas was subsequently arrested in connection with three felonies: possession of a firearm/knife, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of prescription drug Xanax, and spent four days in custody prior to posting bond Jan. 19.)
Lomas, who found Bobbi Kristina face down in the tub, '"is cooperating with the authorities investigating what happened to his dear friend," his lawyer Philip A. Holloway told RadarOnline.com exclusively.
Holloway said his client's '"recent arrest is completely unrelated to the incident that occurred at Ms. Brown's residence, and he has pleaded not guilty to those charges.
'"Lomas has not been accused of any wrongdoing in connection with her injuries and is a witness in this investigation."

The arrest last month wasn't Lomas' first brush with the law, as he was arrested in Apr. 2011 in connection with possession of a firearm/knife in committing a crime, possession/intent to distribute marijuana and consumption of alcohol in a wildlife management area.
Lomas, a Duluth, Minn. native whose full name is Maxwell Byron Lomas, is '"deeply concerned" with Bobbi Kristina's ongoing health crisis, and '"continues to pray for her and her entire family throughout this tragedy," Holloway said.
Lomas -- who previously dated Bobbi Kristina, according to The National ENQUIRER -- '"remains hopeful for her full, complete and speedy recovery," Holloway said.
