The woman who acted as a surrogate mother for Sherri Shepherd and her estranged husband Lamar Sally says the former The View personality pretends her "baby is nonexistent."
The surrogate, Jessica Bartholomew, told Inside Edition "it just blows her mind" that Shepherd has distanced herself from the situation in the wake of her split with Sally.
"I would ask Sherri why she did what she did -- if she thought it was OK to do something like that -- I just don't understand how she can act like this baby is nonexistent."
Bartholomew, breaking her silence publicly, said she's frustrated with the former co-host of The View because she cut off communication with her in the wake of her nasty split with Sally.
"I am angry with Sherri because she never once contacted me to tell me what was happening," Bartholomew said. "It was kind of like I was left out in the cold.
"In the beginning ... she would call up and check on me during the pregnancy ... at the 20-week appointment, she seemed very excited. She was going to see the baby for the first time … I didn't see any warning signs right away."
Bartholomew said the parting between Shepherd and her estranged husband has caused many complications in her life, even hitting her in the pocketbook. A "child support case" against her came as a result of Lamar Jr.'s health problems, as Bartholomew applied for Medi-Cal, the California-based healthcare program.

"Because Shepherd doesn't want to be a part of the baby's life, I have to pick up all the slack with my name being on the birth certificate, a noncustodial parent, medical bills. I'm still considered the mother of a child that's not mine."
A sympathetic Sally told the show Bartholomew "must be going through hell.
"I really feel sorry for her," he said. "I just want to apologize for putting her in the middle."
