Taylor Swift isn’t the only one who can sing about bad breakups. After reports broke this week that Nick Cannon would take his divorce heartache to the recording booth and slam estranged wife Mariah Carey, the rapper spoke out on Twitter to address what he’s really planning to release.
Cannon was definitive, calling the reports “false silliness.”
“There is no album or songs,” he insisted. “I will never say anything negative about @MariahCarey. We are forever a family rooted in love.”
“I am always an open book, but personal matters are just that, personal,” he wrote. “So please respect my family and respect the process."
Reports of the couple’s breakup first surfaced this summer, but they’ve yet to file for divorce as they untangle their many mutual assets, and custody of their twins, Moroccan and Monroe, 3.
