One Direction fans can breathe a huge sigh of relief, as RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively that band member Zayn Malik is en route to the United States, and is expected to be a part of a concert taping at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida on Tuesday night.
Malik was noticeably absent from the boy band's concert on the TODAY show Monday morning, as he has been battling a stomach flu.
"Zayn wanted to be there for the concert taping," a source close to the band told Radar.
But he was soon "feeling better,” the source said, "and was given the all clear to perform."
Malik is expected appear with bandmates Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne and Harry Styles for One Direction: The TV Special, which will be taped at Universal Orlando's City Walk, and will air on NBC on December 23.
The boy band's new album, "Four," has been a hit with critics, and on the TODAY show they announced they would be embarking on another world tour next summer.
