After RadarOnline.com released pictures of a pin thin and pregnant Kate Middleton, Kensington Palace announced that she would not be going on her solo tour to Malta due to her health issues. Now, RadarOnline.com can reveal that Middleton is getting the royal treatment when it comes to dealing with her debilitating morning sickness — and getting world-class care at home.
“Her decision not to travel was taken by the Duke and the Duchess on the advice of the Duchess’ doctors,” a Kensington Palace spokesperson told RadarOnline.com. “And she is being treated at Kensington Palace.”
Middleton is not in the hospital at this time, but instead has doctors at her beck and call at home.
“She is at Kensington Palace and the doctors are with her there,” the spokesperson confirmed.
Meanwhile, Middleton’s husband Prince William is traveling to Malta in place of Middleton.
“The Duchess is no longer attending the Malta trip this weekend,” the spokesperson said. “But the Duke of Cambridge, Prince William, has undertaken the visit instead.”
“So the visit itself is still going ahead and the itinerary has remained the same,” the spokesperson added. “But Prince William is attending in the place of the Duchess of Cambridge because she is continuing to suffer from the effects of her severe morning sickness.”
As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Middleton, 32, suffered from hyperemesis gravidarum during her first pregnancy with Prince George — and now is dealing with the same sickness in her second pregnancy.
Last time around, her decision to stay in a public hospital had unforeseen and heartbreaking consequences when a nurse who unwittingly leaked details of Middleton’s stay to the media later committed suicide.
