Real Housewives of New York star Kristen Taekman teams up with fitness expert Jay Cardiello for Body Back by JCORE, a workout DVD put together with professional women in mind who might not think they have the time and space to get in shape — but they can!

The DVD, which incorporates cardio and strength-training exercises, only asks for 20 minutes a day, and 4×4 feet of space to work with, making for the ultimate routine of convenience.

“Twenty minutes is a great number where people can make something feasible and continue a commitment,” Cardiello said. “Also, too, we didn’t want to turn your house into a gym. We didn’t want to have a deterrence where people could say, ‘I can’t do this. I don’t have this equipment.’

“Kristen and I wanted to be able to allow women to take what they naturally have and use it to the best of their abilities. We always say we want to change your life without changing your lifestyle.”

The model Taekman said she worked closely with Cardiello to develop the perfect workout targeting the areas women look to improve.

“A lot of the exercises have to do with typical ‘mommy moves,’” the Real Housewives star said. “When you’re picking up your baby off the floor or out of the crib, it helps to strengthen the muscles in your legs and in your back. That definitely came into it.

“For me, it had a lot to do with building endurance: 20 minutes doesn’t seem like a lot, but when you’re doing this video, oh my goodness!”

Taekman said the workout is effective at varying levels of intensity, good for days when you’re full of energy — or not.

"It’s one of those things where, if I’m alone, I will pick up the intensity,” she said. "If I’m with the kids, it’s probably not going to be as intense of a day. There are some days where you feel on top of the world and you’re going to go full speed ahead and there are other days where you’re just tired.

"It depends on your week or lifestyle."
