Problems between Real Housewives of New York star Ramona Singer and her husband Mario came to a head Friday, when authorities were summoned to their Southampton home to quell a domestic dispute between the two, and Ramona said that Mario had choked her.

The NY Post reported that the couple have quietly separated and are dating -- Mario has been linked, specifically, to socialite Kasey Dexter, while Ramona has been tied to a man named Travis Millard -- but have stopped short of filing for divorce.

As for living situations, an insider told the paper that “Ramona kicked Mario out of the Manhattan apartment in the last few days, but the understanding was that he could stay in the Southampton house.”

The incident over the weekend flared up, the paper reported, when Ramona “threw a fit and called the cops” after finding Dexter and her ex already there.

Ramona -- who offered cops “a glass of wine" when they arrived at the posh Hamptons home -- initially accused Mario of choking her to police, but multiple other sources shot down the allegations. No charges were pressed in the incident according to the Post.

The couple -- who have one child, college age daughter Avery — have continually denied marital problems and infidelities, but this incident might push them to a point where they no longer play nice in public. Last fall, after initial reports that Mario had gotten an unnamed mistress pregnant, Ramona's former castmate Jill Zarin accused Mario of hitting on her during tapings of the Bravo reality show.
