It's life imitating art for Courteney Cox, as the Cougartown star stepped out with her new, much-younger man. Cox, 49, took 37-year-old Johnny McDaid of the band Snow Patrol, as her date to Jennifer Aniston's Bel Air holiday bash this weekend.
McDaid was sitting shotgun as Cox drove up to the party. Inside, eyewitnesses told Life & Style, "Courteney definitely looked like she was on a date! They were holding hands during the party."
McDaid is originally from Northern Ireland, but moved to L.A. to work on Ed Sheeran's next album, which they finished recording on December 4. Could the red-head have played cupid? Sheeran spent Thanksgiving with both Aniston and Cox.
McDaid is also close to One Direction star Harry Styles, who tweeted fans encouraging them to vote for Cox in the People's Choice Awards earlier this week.
And the singer-songwriter is super-sensitive: He has a tattoo on his upper left arm that's a Gaelic translation of the quote "When I need to get home, you're my guiding light." McDaid has said it's in memory of his father, John, who died in July 2011.
Cox was last linked to her Cougartown co-star, Brian Van Holt.
