Usher's son Usher Raymond V was rushed to the hospital on Monday evening after a tragic pool accident almost took his life, RadarOnline.com is reporting.

According to reports, the 5-year-old was swimming in the pool with his aunt when a toy got stuck in the drain and the boy dove down to get it — getting his hand stuck in the drain.

After attempts by his aunt to rescue him, a maid then jumped in and was also unable to get his hand out, so two men working on the family house eventually jumped in and were able to free him.

USA Today reports Usher was not home at the time of the accident, but arrived just as his son was being given CPR and rode in the ambulance to the hospital with him.

Usher V is Usher's son with estranged ex-wife, Tameka Raymond, who lost custody of the kids (Usher V and Naviyd Ely) to The Voice judge last August.

Tragically, Tameka's 11-year-old son from a previous relationship, Kile, passed away that same month from a freak jet ski accident.

Kile and a friend were inner tubing on Lake Lanier when they were hit by a jet ski on July 8.  It was a family friend, who was part of the same group, who accidentally hit the pair.

Nearly a month later, Tameka made the heart-wrenching decision to take him off life support.
