Despite her public obsession with rapper Drake, RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned that Amanda Bynes was involved in several lesbian relationships while living in Manhattan, just prior to her involuntary psych ward stay.
According to a source close to the troubled actress, Amanda considers herself bisexual and held a months-long relationship with a female neighbor who lived in the same ritzy apartment complex she did.
"She didn't really hide it or keep it a secret with those that were close to her, which wasn't really a lot of people," the insider said.
"But she was sexually and romantically involved with a close female friend of hers. And a couple times she even had more than one woman in bed with her."
The source reiterated that Amanda isn't a lesbian, but says that being bisexual was something the Easy A star wasn't ready for the public or her family to know.
"She worried that her parents would be upset about it and it's not a label she wanted publicly," the source told Radar.
"But I don't really even know if Amanda is sure of her sexuality. I think she was just a little lost and yearning for love and attention anywhere she could get it."
At 27, Amanda has a relatively short list of relationships compared to other Hollywood starlets; in 2001 she briefly dated her The Amanda Show co-star Taran Killam, she dated actor Nick Zano in 2003/2004 and then dated The Hills hunk Doug Reinhardt at the end of 2008, beginning of 2009.
Amanda has been nothing short of vocal about her crush on the Canadian rapper, Drake, famously tweeting in March that she wanted him to "murder my vagina."
"I know that up until Amanda flew back to LA and was picked up on the 5150 she was still seeing the girl she'd been seeing for months," the source said.
"But it was nothing serious. Just more like close friends who fooled around."
