UPDATE: The judge decided not to hear Tammy Lynne's request today. Her attorney, Mark Gross told Radar: "We hope to get this matter resolved amicably. I can't comment any further."

Melissa Etheridge's ex-partner, Tammy Lynn Michaels will be in court Friday afternoon in Los Angeles, because of ongoing custody issues involving the former couple's twins, daughter, Johhnie Rose, and son, Miller Steven, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting.

Our courthouse spies saw Michaels arrive at the courthouse with legal ace, Mark Gross.

"There are ongoing legal custody issues involving the children," an insider told RadarOnline.com exclusively.

The Grammy award winning singer isn't expected to attend the proceedings because she is currently on tour.

Etheridge and Michaels had a particularly nasty breakup after nine years together.

As previously reported, since ending their relationshipin April 2010, the two women have been embroiled in a very public, bitter custody battle over their twins, with mud slinging and vicious barbs traded back and forth between the pair.

As part of the couple’s post split settlement, Melissa is obligated to pay Tammy $23,000 per month.

Michael's and Etheridge were married in 2003, and broke up in 2010.
