After much hubbub, CBS's Big Brother Sunday aired footage of two contestants -- Aaryn Gries and GinaMarie Zimmerman -- making bigoted comments caught on camera.
In a vignette, the show highlighted a number of offensive remarks that Gries, 22, made, at the expense of gay people -- she called a fellow houseguest “that queer" -- and Asian people, making gestures with her eyes and saying that a houseguest who is Asian should “go make some rice.”
In another segment taped in the house's kitchen, Gries put on an abhorrent impression of an Asian nail salon employee, saying “Why you no have boyfriend? It’s because you don’t want long nail!”
Houseguest GinaMarie Zimmerman was also caught on camera making a derogatory comment against black people, saying a fellow black houseguest is on the dark side ”because she’s already dark.”

The blowback has been swift, as both Gries, a model, and Zimmerman, a beauty pageant coordinator, have been let go from their day jobs in response to the reactions as news of their remarks went viral. The show released a statement saying that their comments do not “represent the views or opinions of CBS or the producers of the program.”
