Capitalizing off Lena Dunham's success with her award-winning HBO series Girls, RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned there is a Girls reality TV show being produced and their first star signed on is Hailey Glassman.
According to a source close to the situation, ABC has picked up the unscripted series and while they're still searching for other young women to cast, they plan to begin filming this spring.
"They've already cast Hailey because she sort of epitomizes the mid-to-upper class 20-something trying to make it in New York City," the insider exclusively told RadarOnline.com.
"ABC has really high goals for the show and each character will be loosely based off one of the characters in the scripted show."
The source goes on to reveal that the series will be based on cute, single girls in the Brooklyn and Manhattan area, and it's Girls creator Lena who came up with the idea for the unscripted series.

"The premise of the series is to show the hardships of living in New York City and the hustle and creativity it takes to survive in the concrete jungle," the source said.
"This is going to be a group of extroverted girls who are well-educated, go to brunch on Sundays and bust their asses during the week to make ends meet."
This won't be Hailey's first round with reality TV — the 25-year-old, who made headlines by dating Jon Gosselin after his split from Kate Gosselin, did a season of CMT's Sweet Home Alabama and was even featured in a Lifetime special titled My Life Is A Lifetime Movie.
