Valentine's Day can be the saddest holiday of the year for single girls who transform from happy-go lucky to down and depressed after being bombarded with commercials for cheap gems from Kays Jewelers or giant stuffed animals from the Vermont Teddy Bear Company.
Luckily for sad singledoms across America with a sense of adventure and brutal competitiveness, hope is here!
A new online phenomenon called Fantasy Dating has transformed the hunt for Mr. Right into a cutthroat competition, and a hilarious new YouTube video, Will You Share The Dare, showing what it would be like in a world where singles no longer complain about their boring love lives but instead "get in the game," has already gone viral.
The simple concept is just like fantasy football or baseball where players set stakes and compete against each other to earn points. But in this fantasy sport, players score by exchanging numbers, receiving texts, calls and going on dates – just like in real life!
"The competition motivates singles to take chances and dare to date because players incorporate the game into their daily routine," creator Suzanne Casamento told RadarOnline.com.
"That means saying 'Hey' to the hottie in line next to you at Starbucks, exchanging numbers with that guy at the gym, or chatting 'organics' with that sweet vendor at the farmer's market. The game is on wherever you go. The key is to get in it!" she explained.
