Nicki Minaj Joins American Idol As New Judge

Nicki Minaj will be a new judge on this season of American Idol, according to a new report.

The controversial 29-year-old rapper is "100% confirmed to judge" on the the hit Fox show Us Weekly reports, but RadarOnline.com has yet to confirm with her rep.

"I'm not sure the deal is completely done yet, but yes, she is definitely doing it," the source said.

"A few more slight things to sign off on but it is happening."

However, Nicki just canceled an appearance at the V Festival in England because of strained vocal chords and after fans flipped out on Twitter — so did Nicki, which sources tell RadarOnline.com isn't the image American Idol is going for.

"I was in jeopardy of losing my voice entirely and needing surgery on my vocal chord," she tweeted on Monday.

"If u can't understand that, your mother's a WH*RE!!!!"

Nicki continued on Twitter writing, "If u have anything negative to say to me, please #EatSh*tAndDie - I am human."

Mariah Carey confirmed her seat at the judge's table in July after Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler revealed they were leaving the show.

Season 12 of American Idol premieres this winter.
