Shamed New York Governor Eliot Spitzer's sex scandal was transformed into a movie, and now his former call girl is getting her own Hollywood ending!
Ashley Dupre, a one-time $1,000-an-hour escort who was tied to Spitzer, announced that she is seven months pregnant and engaged to marry Thomas “TJ” Earle.
“On the record, yes, I can confirm I’m almost seven months,” Dupre, 27, excitedly told The New York Post. “I can’t tell you when the wedding date is just yet.”
As RadarOnline.com previously reported, the Democratic politician and son of a New York real estate tycoon's career went into a downward spiral in March 2008 when it was revealed that he had patronized an elite escort service run by Emperors Club VIP.
A month earlier, the then-governor arranged a meeting in a Washington DC hotel with a prostate named "Kristen," she was later identified as Dupre, who became the most famous of his alleged call girls. Spitzer was referred to as Client-9 in an affidavit in the US Federal Court, and the moniker went on to become the title of a movie about his sexual dalliances.
Spitzer resigned in November 2007 following an in-depth investigation, and Dupre has since gone on to pose for Playboy, open lingerie and swimwear shop in Red Bank, New Jersey called Femme by Ashley, and find true love.
The mom-to-be is keeping quiet about whether she is expecting a boy or a girl, but told the Post, "So far so good!”
She was first linked to Earle just months after the Spitzer scandal broke when her now-fiance was married to another woman. They had a steamy affair that he later described as a “a grave mistake," but since then he has divorced his wife and is heading down the aisle with Ashley.
"We’ve all moved on and (are) doing great,” Dupre said. “Everyone is looking forward to the future.”
Spitzer, 53, has since become a regular columnist for Slate, and following a brief stint on CNN he is now the host of Current TV's political talk show Viewpoint of Eliot Spitzer. He remains married to his wife, Silda Wall Spitzer, and the couple has three children.
