NBA Superstar Jason Kidd Busted For DWI

NBA All-Star Jason Kidd was arrested at 2 am Sunday on suspicion of Driving While Intoxicated after he plowed his 2010 Cadillac Escalade into a telephone pole in Southampton, Sgt. Michael Burns of the Southampton Police Dept. has confirmed.
Just three days after the former New Jersey Nets superstar signed a $9.5 million deal with the New York Knicks, Kidd was treated for minor injuries following the accident that occurred near his summer home.

He was treated at Southampton Hospital, transferred to the Southampton police station for processing, arraigned on a misdemeanor DWI charge, and released after being charged.
Kidd had attended the Fostering a Legacy Benefit Honoring George Lucas at a private estate in East Hampton ealier in the evening.
