In a city full of endless riches and breathtaking real estate, owning the most expensive co-operative apartment is no mean feat.
The prize for most pricey pad goes to songwriter Denise Rich, who has put her fabulous Manhattan penthouse on the market for the breathtaking price of $65 million, and RadarOnline.com has photos inside the stunning Fifth Avenue locale.
Overlooking Central Park, the 12,000 square feet duplex boasts a formal dining room for 22 guests, media room, billiards room, gym, library with a fireplace and grand salon.
The famous post-war Park V building offers residents white glove services (including door men and concierges) as well as access to a private garage and an in-building fitness room, for a $25,000 a year fee, reported RealEstalker.com.
The former wife of controversial financier Marc Rich has decided that the mammoth home, which is so spacious that she once turned one of the three terraces into a professional grade figure skating rink for a party, is too big for her.
“This apartment has been an incredible home,” Denise told the New York Post. “I don’t have the need for this type of space. My greatest hope is that the next family loves and enjoys this home as much as we did.”
One aspect that the now single woman feels is too cavernous for one person is the colossal master suite that consumes the entire southwest end of the gigantic penthouse's upper floor and includes a living room-sized sitting room, big bedroom with gas fireplace and private terrace, a couple of walk-in closets, a pair of fitted dressing rooms, and two bathrooms, with a separate jetted tub and over-sized, double-headed, glass enclosed shower stall.
