Elton John Drops The ‘F-Bomb’ While Slamming Madonna At Golden Globes

Seems as if there's a bit of friction between the Material Girl and the Rocket Man.

Musical icons Madonna and Elton John tangled in a war of words on the red carpet at Sunday's 69th Annual Golden Globe Awards in Beverly Hills, and RadarOnline.com has all the scoop for you.

The two musical legends were nominated against one another in the category, Best Original Song in a Motion Picture: Madonna for “Masterpiece” in W.E.; and Elton for “Hello Hello” from Gnomeo & Juliet.

During a red carpet interview with Carson Daly, Elton, flanked by partner David Furnish, said that "Madonna doesn't have a f***ing chance" to win the category.

"Those are fighting words," Daly told Elton, who dryly replied, "No, those are actual words."

Soon thereafter, Madonna came down the red carpet for an interview with Daly, who told her of the Levon singer's bold prediction.

"Was he wearing a dress?" Madonna asked in her English accent. "Damn him, those are fighting words ... OK, well may the best man win."

Ultimately, Madonna won the battle, as she took home the honors.
