Twilight Has Monster Box Office Weekend

Did you expect less? It didn't set a new weekend box office record, but The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Part 1 came close.
With an estimated $139.5 million in ticket sales, Rob Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner made their flick the clear winner this weekend, with the fifth biggest opening in box office history. It also took in a staggering $283.5 million worldwide.
On the other end of the scale, Happy Feet Two is being described as a "disaster" by the box office experts. It finished second behind Twilight, but with just $22 million, it opened to only half what the 2006 original did, and given its 3D costs, could turn out to be one big write off for Warner Bros.
