Despite a rainy afternoon in L.A., music’s hottest acts came out for the 2011 American Music Awards, dressed to rock and shock in the best, worst & wackiest fashions.

Who hit the high note and who was off tune when it came their sense of style? RadarOnline.com has photos of all the wardrobe winners and sinners!

Metallic a la mode was definitely in the a la mode memo with Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez and Jennifer Hudson all shimmering and glimmering in gorgeous getup!

Taylor stunned in an impeccably embellished, Reem Acra strapless gown, while Selena showed more skin than usual in a Giorgio Armani pewter hued wrap dress.

Mary J. Blige went a little too wild with her wardrobe, wearing a one-sleeved snow leopard dress, while Audrina Patridge also experienced a style slip-up, pairing her sliver of a mini with Lucite stripper heels.

As for wacky, we were surprised to find that hardly any celebs were dressed to shock on the red carpet, but luckily Nicki Minaj sassed up the stage in outer space gear!
