Tuesday's edition of The View was one for the history books, as two previously unwed members of the show's panel returned from summer vacation as blushing brides.
On August 12, Joy Behar surprised viewers by marrying her longtime love Steve Janowitz in New York City, while on August 13, Sherri Shepherd wed Lamar Sally in Chicago.
Shepherd actually wore her wedding dress on Tuesday's episode, which also marked the show's 15th season opener. She promised viewers, "I'm going to make this marriage work if it kills me."

She shared a sexy detail about a tip she got from a member of her bridal court, Dancing with the Stars alum Niecy Nash.
"One of my bridesmaids, I think it was Niecy ... said, 'Don't wear any underwear,’" Shepherd said. "They knew me and Sal had been celibate for 11 months, so anything I could do to get him turned back on was encouraged."

That might have been all well and good -- if TV cameras weren't rolling on a Style Network special. At one point, Shepherd said, her mic fell down her back, and network workers began lifting her dress to find the missing mic.
"And I'm screaming, 'No, I have no panties on!'" Shepherd said. "And one bridesmaid thought I kept screaming, 'My pancreas! My pancreas!'"
Her colleague on the panel, Elisabeth Hasselbeck, served as a bridesmaid. Hasselbeck joked she "was ready to slap" Shepherd during the hilarious sequence.

Shepherd said "the best time" she had on her magical day was "dancing with my son ... he walked me down the aisle. He wasn't nervous."
As for Behar, after doing a David Letterman-esque top ten shtick on why she waited almost 30 years to tie the knot with her longtime love, she said that as a crusader for same sex marriages, she began to appreciate the privileges they are fighting for.

She said the battles swarming over same sex marriages "brought to my consciousness why gays needed to get married ... and I thought it was a good reason for me to get married. And so did Steve, so we did it."
"If he was going to get down on one knee, I wanted it be during the time when he could still get up from one knee," Behar joked.
