Ricki Lake is the first of the season 13 cast members to fall foul of the Dancing with the Stars curse, RadarOnline.com can report.
Before the premiere episode even hit our screens, Ricki suffered a painful injury Thursday during rehearsals.
The 42-year-old former talk show host twisted her ankle while practicing her moves with dance partner Derek Hough.
But, in true Ricki style, the show (or the rehearsal) must go on -- an insider exclusively told RadarOnline.com that after she suffered the injury an ambulance was called to the rehearsal studios but, like the total trooper she is, she refused to go to the hospital.
Ricki said she was inspired to take part in the hit ABC show after watching Kirstie Alley last season. Ironically, she was at the taping of the episode where the 60-year-old actress fell and lost her shoe.
On the bright side, Ricki shared with her Twitter fans that she’s already losing weight from all of the dancing she’s been doing.
“Guess which celeb dancer on #DWTS already lost 5 inches...Hint-this one!!! #Drickilous @derekhough :) :) :),” she boasted about her shrinking frame.
Ricki has had a long battle with her weight going from being the curvy girl in the musical Hairspray that launched her career to losing 125lbs in 2007.
At her lowest Ricki was down to 120lbs, and she shared that she is using her current gig to get into tip-top shape for her wedding to fiancé Christian Evans.
Past seasons have brought their fair share of injuries, Jackass star Steve-O was badly injured during season 8 when he landed on his microphone pack at the end of a flip during rehearsals. He was forced to see a chiropractor, a physical therapist and four specialists!

And poor Nancy O’Dell and Jewel never even made it to the premiere episodes. Nancy twisted her knee during rehearsals, was forced to undergo surgery and had to retire from the competition. And Jewel was forced out after fracturing her tibiae.
The new season of Dancing with the Stars premieres on ABC September 19.
