She may not be rushing down the aisle, but she’s got babies on the brain!

Bridget Marquardt, the Playboy Playmate and ex-girlfriend of Hugh Hefner, is happily dating fledgling director Nicholas Carpenter, but at 37, she decided that with time ticking she needed to have a good shot at getting pregnant.

“I had my eggs harvested a few years ago,” the blonde bombshell revealed exclusively to Star magazine. “I was at the Mansion, and I knew that kids were something I would like to have someday. The buxom model, who just launched her Bridget by Roma costume line, told Star that she hopes she won’t have to use in-vitro fertilization, but she’s happy she has a backup plan.

“If we get married and there’s still time and we want that, then great,” Bridget said about her boyfriend of nearly three years. “And if that wasn’t meant to be, maybe we can look into adoption or something.

“If I decide I want a baby and I’m having problems then I have that extra chance.”
