Oofa!

Jason Bateman yanked the 800-pound elephant by its' tail on Thursday's The View in a joint appearance with his longtime pal and co-star in The Change-Up, Ryan Reynolds.

Promoting their new film, the pals of 15 years were asked if they learned something new about each other in their first time working together.

"This guy, if you read the papers, he went through some tough stuff" while shooting the film, Bateman told the panel. "Not once did anybody have any sniff something was wrong ... he went through a divorce while we were shooting.”

Asked about how he kept his composure during the rough patch, Reynolds joked, “It’s because I’m dead inside.”

Bateman, who said he already knew Reynolds was an acting talent, hailed his pal as "extremely professional" and a "great leader" on the set of the comedy.

Reynolds joked with Barbara Walters he was going to cry after his pal’s kind words.
