Governor Chris Christie of New Jersey has been hospitalized after experiencing problems breathing, RadarOnline.com has confirmed. The Republican, 48, was taken to the Somerset Medical Center by his security detail after Christie experienced trouble breathing.
Christie's deputy chief of staff, Maria Cornella told the Associated Press that Christie is "fine and in charge," and that he was taken to the hospital out of an abundance of caution. Christie suffers from asthma, but according to tests conducted so far, the very popular governor will be fine.
Christie has battled with his weight for years, and has said he has tried dozens of diets over the years. Republicans have urged Christie to run for president, but he has said he won't enter the race.
