He launched his line in 1981, but 2011 seems to be the year of Michael Kors. The 51-year-old designer’s duds have been popping up on red carpets all over the world, with stars like Angelina Jolie, Blake Lively and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley rocking his fab fashions to perfection.

The designer, who recently celebrated his 30th anniversary, has perfectly mastered the art of sexy, but sophisticated style. Though his latest Spring and Fall 2011 collections are on-trend and contemporary, they also have a classic and timeless foundation, which appeals to fierce fashionistas who want to avoid taking major red carpet risks.
