Taylor Swift: 'There Are No Rules When It Comes To Love'

Taylor Swift, who has endured her fair share of heartbreak at the age of twenty-one and lived to sing about it, opens up about love, life and fear in the June issue of InStyle Magazine and RadarOnline.com has the interview highlights.

"There are no rules when it comes to love," admits Swift, whose rumored exes include Jake Gyllenhaal, Joe Jonas and John Mayer.

"I just try to let love surprise me because you never know who you're going to fall in love with. You never know who's going to come into your life and for me, when I picture the person I want to end up with, I don't think about what their career is, or what they look like. I picture the feeling I get when I'm with them."

The single star reveals that her biggest fear is "prolonged, perpetual unhappiness" and that she tries to keep an upbeat and optimistic outlook, even through painful times.

"I have this really high priority on happiness and finding something to be happy about," she explains.

"It's not that I live in a delusional fantasy where I'm just smiling every day. I definitely feel pain, but there is also this need to be grateful for what I've been given."
