The Casey Anthony murder trial got even more dramatic in court Tuesday, when Casey's mother Cindy took the stand and cried her eyes out during questioning, RadarOnline.com can report.
Cindy, 52, claimed she is still in shock over the tragic death of her of 2-year-old granddaughter Caylee Anthony and it could not have been more evident as she struggled to maintain her composure under questioning.
With tears rolling down her face and her voice cracking, Cindy testified about the strange odor she noticed in her daughter's car.
"I said it smelled like something died in the car," Cindy said before recounting how she took her granddaughter's doll out of the car and wiped it with a disinfecting wipe.
"Casey's purse was on the front seat and Caylee's baby doll, her favorite doll was in the car seat like it was sitting where Caylee would have sat," Cindy said during her heartfelt testimony.
"Caylee's doll smelled like the car so I took it out ... I sat the doll down and I went and got a Clorox wipe and I wiped the face and hands. The body was soft and so it smelled pretty bad ... I sprayed Febreze all through the car thinking that might help the odor ... I used pretty much a whole can of Febreze."
But the courtroom atmosphere became even more intense - especially when prosecutors played the 911 tape from July 2008, where Cindy is overheard telling a police dispatcher: "There's something wrong. I found my daughter's car today and it smells like there has been a dead body in the damn car."

At that point it was all Cindy could bare and she started crying and visibly shaking.
The audio on the 911 tapes ripped through everyone in the courtroom.
Casey, who has often remained emotionless during the trial even managed to muster up a few tears herself as her mother gave testimony.
Casey is charged with first-degree murder and could be sentenced to death if convicted. She has pleaded not guilty and initially claimed that a babysitter took her daughter.
Caycee’s defense attorney now contends that Caylee died in an accidental drowning in the family's swimming pool.
However, the prosecution claims that Caylee was suffocated by duct tape placed over her mouth by Casey.
