VIDEO: Kim Cattrall Says Dating Is 'Difficult' After Writing Sex Book
April 8 2011, Published 12:22 p.m. ET
Kim Cattrall, appearing on The Ellen DeGeneres Show Friday, admitted "it's very difficult" in her love life these days, as men tend to get cold feet based on her over-the-top Sex and the City character Samantha Jones.
"I would think that it would be difficult, that men would be intimated by the kind of roles you play," Ellen said.
"A little bit. Yeah," replied Cattrall, 54. "Yes, also writing a book about the female orgasm didn't help my dating career either."
Ellen said, "Really? You would think that would actually help ..."
"You would think so," Cattrall responded. "But men like to think that they know it all -- especially in that department."
"Really ... and they don't?" Ellen said, to which Cattrall replied, "No: We know what feels good!"
And then Ellen said, with her inimitable wit, "Oh yes..."
Cattrall’s last marriage, with third husband Mark Levinson, ended in 2004.
