VIDEO: Chris Brown Makes SNL Comeback On Anniversary Of Rihanna Beating
Feb. 13 2011, Published 8:00 a.m. ET
Chris Brown performed on last night's Saturday Night Live and gave a performance that is being viewed by many as his comeback.
It was exactly two years ago to the day that Brown pounded in the face of his then-girlfriend Rihanna, sending the singer to the hospital.
The couple was on their way home from the annual Clive Davis pre-Grammy party when they got into a fight in his car. Ironically, the 2011 Davis party was in full swing in Beverly Hills at the exact same time that Brown was performing before the SNL audience in New York.
Four months after the attack, Brown pleaded guilty to one count of felony assault, and he remains on probation.
The timing of his SNL appearance may have made his performance last night all the more forceful -- Brown was confident and cocky throughout his two songs.
Afterward, he tweeted, "I can't tell you how good it feels to not let my fans down and for once have a little peace! Thank you team breezy for believing."
