Modern Family beauty Sofia Vergara's boyfriend Nick Loeb is asking for more than $50,000 from the city of Los Angeles in a new lawsuit, RadarOnline.com has learned, in which he says the city failed in its’ responsibility to maintain safe roads.

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, the Florida politician-turned-LA businessman was involved in the accident on August 23, 2010 after his car careened off a cliff near Beverly Glen Blvd. in Bel Air.

Loeb wound up in the intensive care unit of UCLA Medical Center after suffering a broken leg, gashed chest and fractured pelvis. In his suit, he claims there were no signs to warn him of blind turns, nor were there guardrails to keep cars from careening off the road.

As you'll remember, RadarOnline.com had exclusive video of Loeb's accident, in which we saw him being rescued while smoke billowed out of his car.
