Elizabeth Taylor will spend the next few days at Los Angeles' Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where the 78-year-old Hollywood icon is recovering from treatment she received over the weekend for congestive heart failure, RadarOnline.com has learned.
"At this stage, with her history, they're going to want to keep her in for a while just to make sure they've fixed what they needed to fix," her rep Sally Morrison said Sunday.
The Oscar-winning star of Butterfield 8 and Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? first made her heart condition public in 2004. In recent years, Taylor's battled health woes including spinal fractures, scoliosis, ulcers, amoebic dysentery and bursitis, among others.
The Cat on a Hot Tin Roof star, who's been married eight times, often uses a wheelchair to get around in public nowadays.
