VIDEO: Adam Sandler Sports Black Eye At People's Choice Awards

While Adam Sandler collected the favorite comedic star award at Wednesday's People's Choice Awards in Los Angeles, it was the black eye he sported that wound up stealing all the attention.

The 44-year-old star of comedies such as Big Daddy, Anger Management and The Wedding Singer joked that he "wanted to see the Black Eyed Peas and the lady thought I said, 'black eye, please!'"

Sandler actually got the unsightly bruise, USA Today reported, in a basketball match that got a little physical.
Sandler co-stars with Jennifer Aniston in the upcoming comedy Just Go With It, which hits theaters February 11.
