Less than a month shy of the one-year anniversary of Alexander McQueen’s death, First Lady Michelle Obama hit the state dinner for Chinese President Hu Jintao on Wednesday night, wearing a dress from his iconic label.
Michelle wore a breathtaking off-the-shoulder red gown from the late designer’s Pre-Spring/Summer 2011 collection. This was the first of McQueen’s collections designed by his former assistant Sarah Burton, who drew inspiration from Samurai warriors.
